Here at TLHS, we have prepared a challenging and meaningful program for the new school year. Teachers are delivering well-prepared lesson plans, and our whole school focusing on READING. Every lesson across the curriculum contains new vocabulary and emphasizes reading comprehension skills. Morning announcements over our closed circuit television system allow everyone to participate as a school community in reciting the Pledge of Allegiance, learning 3 vocabulary words of the day, and hearing a daily poem. We close each announcement by reciting the
Toussaint L'Ouverture High School for Arts & Social Justice Pledge.
Late registration is now underway, and we have a few openings left in the 11th and 12th grades. New electives include a combination 2D/3D art class. Dance, photography, leadership, work experience, and Dual Enrollment at PBCC are additional electives. We are also delighted to announce that we are offering on own online courses--Chemistry I and Biology I.
I wish you an excellent first quarter. Remember to read every day!
Sincerely Dr. Diane Allerdyce
