Freshman Kirk Root chosen to attend prestigious Youth Leadership Forum this summer.
Toussaint L’Ouverture High School for Arts & Social Justice (TLHS) is proud to announce that freshman Kirk Root has been chosen by the Able Trust of The Florida Governor's Alliance for the Employment of Citizens with Disabilites to attend its prestigious Youth Leadership Forum this summer. Kirk is one of 52 students chosen in the State of Florida for this honor. His selection was based upon Kirk’s demonstrated leadership in both our school and community. The YLF will take place from July 21-24, in Tallahassee. Student delegates will have the opportunity to learn about the history of the disability movement, career options, academic and community resources and personal leadership development. TLHS is delighted to have Kirk represent the innovative charter school and the Delray Beach community at this event.
