Is IXL infinite? ›

Infinite! There are over 8,500 skills and unlimited computer-generated questions, so there's always fresh and compelling content! With IXL's unique scoring algorithm, questions adapt to the student's skill level to ensure the student is constantly challenged and engaged.

As the student answers questions correctly, the SmartScore increases. If a question is answered incorrectly, the score decreases.

IXL classroom subscriptions are active for a full calendar year. School might be out for the summer, but IXL is always in session! And summer break is the perfect opportunity to brush up on skills, or even get a head start on some new ones. IXL also has a free app, so students can practice on IXL anytime, anywhere.

IXL Learning Program, a popular online educational platform, has gained significant attention in recent years. While it claims to enhance learning outcomes, there is growing concern about its negative impact on students' emotional well-being.

If you get an equation that is always true, such as 0 = 0, then there are infinite solutions.

Diagnostic scores on IXL correspond to grade levels. A score of 500 indicates readiness to begin working on 5th grade skills. As soon as a student has finished diagnosing, you'll have immediate insights waiting for you in IXL Analytics.

For each skill, you'll see the student's SmartScore, questions answered, time spent, and date of their last practice session.

Grade level guide: 100 = 1st grade, 200 = 2nd grade, 300 = 3rd grade, 400 - 4th grade, 500 = 5th grade, 600 = 6th grade, 700 = 7th grade, 800 = 8th grade, and 900 = 9th grade. By clicking on the IXL image above or the word IXL, students will be forwarded to the log in page.

Inadequate Feedback: While IXL provides immediate feedback on incorrect answers, it often lacks detailed explanations or alternative strategies for solving problems. This limits students' ability to learn from their mistakes and hinders their overall growth.

It has been especially valuable during distance learning. The personalized feedback from IXL allows teachers to progress monitor student growth during asynchronous learning, freeing up time for them to focus daily live synchronous virtual learning.

IXL has a strong focus on math and language arts, while Khan Academy offers a wider range of subjects. Consider your learning style: If your child is a visual learner, then you may prefer Khan Academy's videos and articles. If your child is an auditory learner, then you may prefer IXL's games and quizzes.

The Real-Time Diagnostic is always available; students can enter the Diagnostic at any time and answer as many questions as they like. When students first use the Diagnostic, we recommend they aim to diagnose until their complete diagnostic data is revealed—for most students, this will be around 45 minutes per subject.

All IXL subscriptions provide unlimited access to every grade level available on the site for the subject(s) in your subscription.

It only takes about 45 minutes to get full diagnostic results in one subject. If needed, the diagnostic can be broken up into multiple sessions to fit student schedules and needs.

IXL's diagnostic scores range from 0-1300 correspond to grade levels for easy interpretation. A diagnostic level increase of 100 reflects growth of approximately one grade level.
