Is CPMC the same as Sutter Health? ›

CPMC is affiliated with Sutter Health, a not-for-profit parent of not-for-profit and for-profit companies that together form an integrated healthcare system located in Northern California. The system is committed to health equity, community partnerships and innovative, high-quality patient care.

While it is a privately funded entity, CPMC has strong academic ties to the University of California, San Francisco (UCSF) and Stanford University Medical Center, as well as the Geisel School of Medicine of Dartmouth College.

As the largest medical center within the Sutter Health system, CPMC is a tertiary referral center for complex cardiac services from throughout Northern California. Drawing patients regionally, nationally, and internationally, CPMC is an exceptional institution for cardiovascular training.
